Benefits:
Energy work (Reiki or Reconnective Healing) affects you on any of several levels - physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual. Its benefits cannot be predicted or promised - you will get out of it what is best for you at this time. This is the most exciting part of my practice because every session is an adventure - we just don't know what will happen but it always feels like such a gift both for me and for the client.
"The Reconnection" reconnects your body's meridian lines to the grid lines on the planet that connect us to the stars and other planets. (Whew!) This process is especially helpful for those in a healing profession. I know when I received "The Reconnection" in 2003 the earth did not move for me. I wondered if anything happened at all. It may surprise you to hear (if you have read much on this web site) that I am a very big skeptic about the metaphysical. I don't believe in things because someone has told me about it - I only truly believe in what I have experienced first hand. As it turns out, that has been a lot in my life. So I was skeptical that I really got reconnected to the axiatonal lines etc, etc. But I am writing this in 2008 and it has been five years since I got "The Reconnection". I am no longer the same person. I am happier than I have ever been. I am more at peace with each of my now moments than I have ever been. I am willing, no - I am excited to embrace my metaphysical gifts and share what I can with whomever comes to me as a client. No longer am I afraid to be different or strange. In fact, I don't even feel different or strange for doing this work. I feel connected to others and more like everyone else than ever before.
Massage is known to stimulate the nerves and increase blood flow and circulation around the body. Regular massage sessions give an excellent feel good factor as they are relaxing and de-stressing as well as being re-energizing and stimulating, therefore can help prevent the build up of tension, anxiety and stress. Some of the benefits of massage include relief to tense and sore muscles, reduced anxiety and mental stress, reduced healing time from injuries, increased range of motion, a better sense of well-being, and lower blood pressure.
